ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Beverley Harper Tinsley has been painting for over fifteen years, predominantly in watercolor. She has been a member of Colorado Watercolor Society since 2011, and earned Signature Membership in 2013
She loves the light touch and thrilling chemistry of watercolor painting. She strives with each work to retain the clarity of what she sees, and bring that into view for others.
She approaches each painting from a traveler’s perspective, with the open mind and curiosity of a traveler in a new location, bravely experimenting with the language and tasting the flavors of the experience, and bringing back souvenirs.
In offering her paintings to others, she longs to create a shared experience of joy, and the complex sense of both viewing something fresh and new, and yet recognizable and comforting.
Watercolor delights her in the unique way it allows for and celebrates both the carefully planned and the unexpected, like a perfect visit to an exotic destination.
Beverley has had her paintings featured on the label of Coldform’d, a British Ale, and several times on the front page of Your Mountain Connection Newspaper, as well as being featured in articles in Colorado Serenity Magazine, and Voyage Denver Magazine, artwork on the cover of a CD, as well as in the Watercolor Lesson-A-Day Calendar and has taught art to children at The Homeschool Alliance. She is currently pursuing an interest in expanding to mixed media, and exploring alternative surfaces and surface finishes for her watercolor paintings.
